Scholarship opportunities are available for eligible Teamster families. Review each program below and submit applications by the listed deadline.
Teamsters Local 58
Applicants must be the son, daughter, or grandchild of an active, retired, disabled, deceased, or laid-off Teamster member who has at least 12 consecutive months of good-standing membership in Local 58. Applicants must be in their final year of high school and plan to attend an accredited four-year college, university, or community college.
Application checklist:
- Applicant and Teamster parent or grandparent complete questions 1 through 11.
- Attach a list of school and community activities.
- Have a counselor or high-school official complete the Academic Record.
- Send the complete application to Teamsters Local 58.

Teamsters Joint Council No. 37
The Joint Council 37 Scholarship is a $500 award that automatically renews each year for up to four years when the recipient continues to meet the renewal requirements.
Eligible applicants must be children or dependent stepchildren of active, retired, disabled, or deceased members of Local Unions 58, 81, 162, 206, 223, 305, 324, 670, or 962. The qualifying member must have been active for at least one year as of February 1. Applicants must be graduating seniors, have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher, and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA. Oregon residency is not required.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters
James R. Hoffa Memorial Academic Scholarship
Academic scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 are available to high-school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university. Applicants must be the son, daughter, or financial dependent of an eligible Teamster member, including BMWED, BLET, GCC, and TCRC members.
Children or financial dependents of full-time local union officers or full-time local union staff are not eligible.

Training and Vocational Programs
Training and vocational awards of up to $2,000 are available for community-college and trade-school programs. Applicants must be the son, daughter, or financial dependent of an eligible Teamster member, including BMWED, BLET, GCC, and TCRC members.
Children or financial dependents of full-time local union officers or full-time local union staff are not eligible.
